This isn’t a transaction.
Nothing is being traded here.
No one is keeping score.
A transaction says,
“I give you this—so you give me that.”
It’s measured. Immediate.
And once it’s done, it’s over.
But reciprocity is different.
Reciprocity says,
“I give because we are in relationship.”
The return might come later.
From someone else.
In a way I can’t predict.
There’s no debt here.
No demand.
Only responsibility—to one another,
to the circle,
to those still coming.
I don’t help you so you’ll help me.
I help because someone once helped me—
and now it’s my turn
to carry it forward.
