You cannot be mad at someone for
genuinely making a decision they
thought was best for their life.

Even if it hurts you. This is hard to accept.
Because when someone’s choice affects you,
when it leaves you disappointed or heartbroken,
your first instinct is to be angry.

To take it personally. To make them the villain.
But people are allowed to choose themselves.
They’re allowed to walk a path that makes
sense for them, even when it doesn’t include you.

Their decision wasn’t an attack. It was them
doing what they believed they needed to do.
You can be hurt by it. That’s fair.
But being hurt and being wronged aren’t
the same thing. Sometimes two people can both
be doing the right thing for themselves,
and it still ends in goodbye.
Let people choose their own lives.
Even when their choice isn’t you.
