When I feel trapped and every option seems
like a bad one, I think of an old story:
A sultan captured a girl and locked her away.
Then told her:
"Here's a bag with two stones. Draw the gray
one and you're mine. Draw the gold one and
you go free."
He'd quietly slipped two gray stones into the bag...
Sound familiar?
She reached in, closed her fist around one stone,
and flung it so far no one could see it's color.
"Check the stone left in the bag, and you'll
know which one I threw."
She walked free.
She didn't win the game.
She changed it.
Feeling trapped rarely means you're
out of options.
It means you can't see them yet.
And you can't find "the third" stone
while your head is this loud.
